About Us
We’re a Muslim couple with a love for travel, history, and discovering the forgotten places, and the untold stories. With over 30 countries under our belts, we’ve always been drawn to places with rich histories, stunning Islamic architecture, and untouched natural beauty. But no place has captivated us quite like Afghanistan.
What started as a one-month trip turned into a 2 month trip, and we've got more planned. Even after months of travelling through Afghanistan, there are still places we haven’t explored and hidden gems we’re hoping to discover. From wandering the hills of Nuristan to drinking tea in Babur’s Gardens, watching the sunset over the Minarets of Ghazni, and greeting the sunrise over the canyons of northwest Afghanistan, our journey through Afghanistan has left us humbled and amazed.
When we started planning our trip, we couldn’t find even the most basic information online. Which embassies could issue valid visas was a mystery and financial sanctions made booking a room nearly impossible. That’s why we wrote this guide: to make Afghanistan more accessible for other adventurous travellers.
Afghanistan is not only possible, it’s a destination with so much to offer—breathtaking landscapes, a rich and complex history, and resilient, welcoming people. Our hope is that your journey to Afghanistan will connect you with its history, beauty, and people, leaving you with insights that will change you forever.
Thank you for letting us be part of your adventure.
